| my baby was on death row!!! and i am freakin' furious!!! my saint, my baby, escaped from the yard last thursday during the storm. my retarded mother forgot to put them in the garage when the storm hit (they're really scared of storms, so if i'm not home so they can be inside, they are in the garage so they won't be so terrified) and the poor babies got scared and ran out of the yard looking for shelter. a few hours later phoebe was sitting on the front porch when my mom got home, and saint was gone! so we searched and searched and searched and i cried and cried and cried, and we never found him. friday i went around the neighborhood putting up flyers, we took out an ad in the eagle for sat and sun, but nobody has called me. so today i decided since this is my day off and i actually have the time, i was gonna go look for him at all the shelters. i had already called them of course, but they don't tell you anything! they always say the only way you can know if someone turned your dog in is to come look. so i went to look. i went to the humane society, nothing, so i went to the pound and there was my baby!!! on death row!!! tomorrow they would've killed him!!! and then the next day i would've had to do some killing of my own. so i payed $112 to get my baby back (a little steep if you ask me...) and i brought him home. and we've made it so he can never get out again. and if i ever find the bastard that called animal control instead of acting like a responsible, considerate person and trying to find me, or at least taking him to the humane society instead of just calling the pound and sentencing him to death in three days time, i will beat them with saint's leash. i think that's only fair. on a happier note, it's our 1 year anniversary the 26th. yay!!! | i got a job at the bank of america on central! i work 4 mornings a week, and then every sat morning as a teller. it doesn't pay quite as much as i'd hoped...$8 an hr...which isn't really bad i guess, but i was kinda hoping for 9. oh well though. i'm not quiting magic wok, so basically it's all extra money and every little bit helps i guess. maybe after i've been there a little bit, i can get a nice raise. until then, they have really good benefits! i get all the benefits of a full time worker even though i'm only part time, which means insurance (if i needed it), paid time off, paid holidays off (and there's a lot of those in banking!) and there's also incentives that can get me a bonus every year, and the best part is they'll pay part of my tuition for college! up to $2000 a year! so that's nice. so i think it'll be good. only bad part is now that i'm working mornings, i'm gonna take all afternoon classes, so i won't see anybody.  that really depresses me, but since we'll have our house i expect to see ALL of you at least once a week if we can swing it, which i think we can. i'll always have an open door, so you guys can stop by anytime!!! the loan people pushed back the closing date, cuz they can do that and apparently it doesn't matter what works best for us anyways, so now we won't be closing until the 15th. and supposedly they assure us that that date is absolutely set and it WILL happen then. and they're going to have someone call us and let us know what time.
did you get that? let us know what time. so even if shawn has to work, or if i have to work, or even if that day is just not that great for us, we have to freaking be there if we freaking want our own freaking house.
i'm so tired of these people...you'd think they could show just the slightest bit of consideration for people... | | |
